Claudia Cope

Claudia Cope was raised on the lower Cape. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Masters of Education with a focus on School Nursing. She became the School Nurse at Wellfleet Elementary School in 2007 and considers it her dream job, combining her love of children with health and wellness. She supports students and their families through wellness education while helping children and families with special healthcare needs.

Claudia raised three daughters on the Cape and has had much help along the way. She has experienced first hand the many challenges of living and working on Cape Cod including a lack of affordable housing, the high cost of healthcare, and the prohibitive cost of higher education. Seeing families struggle to pay for an unexpected bill such as a major auto repair, unforeseen home repair, or dental bill, she believes that we lift our community up by providing families with the help they need to maintain their security and well-being.  

She is delighted to join the Fleet Fund board of directors to help address these needs.
